A Coinbase user is raising alarms after claiming that the platform is withholding rewards on their substantial USDC balance. The issue revolves around two missing payout months from a significant account balance.
In a detailed account shared in forums, the user maintained over $10K in USDC from January to March 2024 without making any withdrawals. While they received rewards in January, February and March payouts never arrived. April finally brought a payout, which the user believes only covered one month, leaving two months unpaid.
Despite spending over 10 hours on the phone with customer support, the user has yet to resolve the issue. They explained their calculations, estimating a total of $510 annually for rewards, but kept hitting roadblocks.
"I need to call you out in a public forum to get this resolved."
Attempts to get a clear explanation have resulted in more frustration. The user reported speaking to several agents, with each interaction leading to the same dead end. One comment notes, "Itโs just calling each time and getting a different agent."
Frustration with Support: Users are experiencing a lack of consistent information from Customer Service agents.
Calculations Disputed: The math breakdown provided by the affected party clearly shows potential errors in Coinbaseโs April payout justification.
Time Wasted: Many users express disbelief that resolving such issues takes an excessive amount of time, dubbing the support process cumbersome.
Comments from the community reflect a mix of disbelief and sympathy. One user sarcastically remarked:
"10 hrs on the phone?? Lol Wtf did you guys talk about for 10 hrs??"
Another warned against sharing personal info online, advising others to seek proper channels for support.
โ ๏ธ Users demand transparency and better math checks from Coinbase.
๐ Ongoing frustrations suggest a breakdown in customer service training.
๐ฐ "All I want is a thorough explanation of the amount since my math is pretty clear." Key voices highlight the need for better communication.
This remains a developing story, with users hoping to see resolutions to similar payout issues soon.
